MATERNA Communications

MATERNA, founded in 1980, is represent in several European countries with own offices. Currently, the company has over 1,300 employees worldwide. Group sales in 2008 were approximately 165 million euros.

MATERNA’s Business Unit Communications is internationally well-known as leading provider of mobile network services and as creative agency for mobile marketing and content. The focus is on creation and distribution of mobile content and high-performance solutions like platforms and gateways. Key customers of MATERNA Communications are network operators, service providers, media companies and enterprises from different areas.

Since more than 10 years MATERNA has developed international high-class news and marketing campaigns for operators and media companies. The technical infrastructure MACS (Mobile Application and Content Server), provides all the technology required for dispatch, commercialization and billing of any kind of mobile content. MATERNA Communications facilitates operators to support multiple applications from different networks by providing a universal platform through a single common infrastructure.

MATERNA is also successfully positioned as supplier and operator for Mobile Virtual Network Enablers (MVNEs). In 2006, MATERNA created the largest MVNE in Germany, vistream, based on a full-MVNO architecture and connected to the network of E-Plus (member of the KPN group).
